Predator was the first large system I ever designed. As a sophomore, I took over as the design lead for my high school robotics team out of necessity as everyone who knew SolidWorks had graduated. I taught myself SolidWorks and let loose my creative vision for construction of Predator. I learned more complex manufacturing methods with fiberglass and CNC milling. I also was introduced to designing waterproof housing with O-ring seals and using waterproof connectors.

The resulting robot won 1st place at the international collegiate underwater Marine
Advanced Technology Education (MATE) ROV competition.
